Dr. Ravi Chandra is the author of FACEBUDDHA: Transcendence in the Age of Social Networks. I was delighted to chat with him about the journey he underwent writing his book. Ravi describes the book as an Asian American immigrant memoir.
During his journey, he began asking questions like: How is social media impacting our evolution as humans? Is social media healthy for us? Does social media create narcissism? As a psychiatrist, Ravi has a unique point of view on this subject.
The book includes psychological research about social media and an engaging introduction to Buddhism. I enjoyed his book, as I have often questioned the effects of social media and am very interested in the philosophies and principles of Buddhism. I enjoyed my conversation with Ravi and was grateful to learn about his discoveries, and I think you will too.
