Micaela Solís is a naturalist for the Galapagos National Park. I had the pleasure of spending a week with Micaela during my visit to these remarkable islands. Words simply cannot describe the wonderment that is the Galapagos.
Micaela and the team of naturalists were so knowledgeable about the wildlife and every facet of the islands. I was particularly excited to speak with Micaela because she grew up in the Galapagos and shared remarkable stories about her experiences as a young child running through lava fields and playing with the wildlife.
The Galapagos is one of the most secluded and pristine places on earth. I am still in awe and will never forget this experience.
One of the important takeaways from visiting the Galapagos Islands was the necessity for us all to do our part to protect our planet and the impacts of climate change. We can be doing more, and should be. Every action matters and every effort adds up.
Being a secluded archipelago, the internet was very spotty. So please listen with an open mind and as we struggle through internet lag and delays. I kept the video because I wanted you to be able to see Micaela’s passion and how absolutely lovely she is, but please listen and enjoy this interview as much as I did.
