What comes to mind when you hear the words strength and conditioning?  Does it leave you wanting to run in the other direction?  Sometimes I admit I want to run the other way, but today I sit down with Coach Kevin Carr of Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning and Movement as Medicine to dispel myths and go over the reasons of why we all need both strength and conditioning.

I had the privilege of training at MBSC with Kevin a few years ago and learned a lot from them about moving safely and with purpose.  It was great to see the parallels between their training and my kung fu philosophy. Their emphasis on fundamentals, basics, and progressions and regressions, based on the individual really resonated with me.  Using this effective system, the team at Mike Boyle’s have coached Olympic athletes to everyday people like you and me!

Exercise doesn’t have to be painful or grueling, and it can actually be fun, especially if you have the right trainer.  How do you find the right trainer? What makes someone qualified?  Listen on to hear the answers from one of the top personal training coaches, Coach Kevin Carr.
