I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Martial Arts History Museum and take a personalized tour with its founder, Michael Matsuda. The museum is a treasure trove of martial arts history and culture, showcasing the rich heritage and contributions of martial artists from around the world.
One of the most thrilling moments for me was seeing my dad, Pui Chan, honored among the legends. It was a deeply moving experience to witness his legacy celebrated in such a prestigious setting.
The Martial Arts History Museum is not just a place to learn about martial arts—it’s a celebration of the community and its impact on culture and history.

About the Museum
Martial Arts History Museum aims to promote an appreciation of America’s cultural diversity by using the martial arts as its gateway into sharing how Asian history became part of American history. It is not a who’s who of the martial arts, neither is it a sports museum, rather, it is an educational facility teaching visitors about art, culture, history, and tradition.
