Selena Tan is an award-winning actress, producer, director, writer, and performer.  She can be seen in Crazy Rich Asians as well as the new Amazon Prime film, Shotgun Wedding with Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel.

Selena shares the behind-the-scenes stories about filming during covid and the villa lockdown with fellow costars Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Coolidge, Sonia Braga, Cheech Marin, Steve Coulter, and D’Arcy Carden.  Imagine being in the Dominican Republic while Lenny Kravitz plays Paul Simon hits by the pool during their downtime.

Selena is from Singapore and was gracious to stay awake for a fun conversation about food, culture and society.  I was fascinated to learn about NUA, which means chill and relaxed, in Hokkien which reflects Selena’s true style.

Selena also tackles social justice in Singapore as an ambassador for the LGBTQ+ movement, ‘Pink Dot,’ which focuses on the support for the freedom to love.
