In a world where the narrative of beauty is often narrowly defined, 14-year-old Sumer Strawbree‘s voice emerges as a powerful testament to resilience and self-love. Her book on affirmations which has sold over 10,000 copies, “Black, Brown, and Beautiful,” delves into the transformative experiences of being bullied in elementary school due to her appearance.

‌Sumer opens up about her journey, sharing the struggles she faced and how she overcame adversity. It was wonderful to hear her heartfelt story, learn about the inspiration behind her writing, and discover her empowering message for anyone who has ever felt marginalized. This is a conversation you won’t want to miss—it’s time to celebrate every shade of beauty and embrace the strength that lies within.

We are so excited to have Sumer as one of our guests at the upcoming Blasian Book Fair in Orlando at the West Oaks Mall. Join us for lively panel discussions, live performances, and Sumer will also be leading a Vision Board workshop. Bring poster board, markers, glitter and photos of anything that inspires you or that you aspire to! We hope to see you at the Blasian Book Fair on Saturday, September 14 where every attendee will get a FREE book.
